Operator and contact

DailyAlbum is operated by TSRat (Junran Li), the individual responsible for its personal information handling. Privacy enquiries can be sent to theshamerider0@gmail.com.

DailyAlbum helps you discover albums and keep a personal listening journal without an account. The app does not request name, phone-number, location, contacts, or microphone permission, and does not read playback history from external music services. The developer does not provide account-based syncing of personal records. The current version contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.

Data on your device

Listening history, ratings, memory customizations, achievements, and settings are stored locally. The app and its widget share a snapshot of today's album, date, and completion status through their system App Group. Resolved music links and artwork may also be cached locally.

System device backups may include app data, subject to your system settings and Apple's services. This is separate from account-based syncing by DailyAlbum.

Artwork and music services

This app opens albums in Apple Music or Spotify.

The app may request artwork from remote catalog URLs while you browse. Widget refreshes may also request today's artwork while the main app is closed.

After you choose a music service, the app may send album and artist names and necessary query parameters to that service's search endpoint to find an album link. A known exact link may open directly.

These image and search requests do not attach your ratings, timeline, or full listening history. Receiving services can obtain network information such as an IP address and process it under their privacy policies. External music apps and websites handle their own accounts, playback, and data processing.

Notifications, export, and restore

Enabling daily reminders or system notifications for track ratings may request notification permission. Reminders are scheduled locally. You can browse, rate, and record without granting permission.

Full backups and CSV files are created when you choose to export them, and you choose the destination. Before restoring, the app also saves a local safety backup. Exported files contain personal records without added password encryption. Deleting the app does not automatically remove exported, shared, or system-backed-up copies; manage those copies in their respective locations.

Support email and policy updates

Email support opens your mail app with the app/build version, device type, system version, interface language, and an issue template prefilled. You may edit the message or cancel. The app does not automatically attach ratings or listening records.

The developer uses the address, text, and attachments you choose to send to respond to your enquiry; the email provider processes messages under its own policies. Support messages are retained for no more than 24 months after the matter is resolved and then deleted, except where retention is required for legal obligations or dispute handling.
