Open one record
The app selects one album from enabled, eligible lists. An unfinished album remains available the next day.
An independent project by TSRat
I designed this iPhone app around one complete album at a time, giving familiar listening habits room for something unexpected.
Why I made it
I chose not to predict the next album from recent playback. Instead, the app draws from lists listeners enable, leaving room for both deliberate choice and chance.
Design
The app selects one album from enabled, eligible lists. An unfinished album remains available the next day.
The app opens a matching album in Apple Music or Spotify. It does not clip tracks or play music inside the app.
Listeners can mark and rate an album after hearing it. Those choices form a personal listening journal over time.
“Hear the whole record.
Then make up your mind.”
The design leaves judgment until after listening, without asking for an instant rating.
Data choices
The project requires no account. Listening history and ratings stay on the device by default; backup export is user-initiated. The app does not read playback history from music services.
